Organizing/Decluttering Burns Calories

NJ Expert Organizer, Marilyn Shain Labendz, says that the physicality of organizing also burns calories

Organizing and Decluttering are one more form of exercising!

You cannot organize or declutter without working out.

Think about it! Here's just some of what it entails:

  • Reaching and stretching for things.

  • Bending down to place items or pick others up.

  • Reaching again to put them in the proper place.

  • Reaching and stretching in order to sort items into their proper "space."

  • Lifting and shlepping bags of garbage out to the garage or curb.

  • Shoving clothes, books, etc, into bags to be donated, lift and carrying them out for pick-up or drop-off.

  • Straightening up the space we just worked in.

Do you ever think about your weight? I know I do and have my whole life...and it's an often "not-losing" battle.

  • Did you know that there is also the weight of things around you, holding you down, pinning you in right in your own space?

  • When a space is cleared out and organized you feel lighter, less burdened, as if you had a great work-out.

NJ Expert Organizer, Marilyn Shain Labendz, can organize any space.

"Now that my closet is cleaned and organized I'm inspired to work on myself!"
