Decluttering: It's A Battle
Decluttering is not just looking inside your closets and cabinets, bedrooms and garages. Decluttering is looking inside yourself!
We all accumulate "stuff" for a variety of reasons:
"How can I get rid of this?"
"I'd feel so guilty if I got rid of this."
"I'll get to it later."
"I just don't have time."
"I hate doing this!"
"Where do I even get started?"
Do you do any one of the following:
Buy more storage units in order to keep what you have?
Trip over those storage containers?
Not be able to get to your closets because the "stuff" is in front of the door?
If you can identify with any of the above, it's time to have a "head to heart" talk with yourself!
Why do I need more than 2 weeks worth of socks per season?
Does it make me feel safer to keep "extras" around "just in case?"
Could I feel better by trimming down what I have by donating to a needy cause?
Can I digitize some records/memorabilia and let go of the tangible item?
Can I do with less?
It's always difficult to decide to start a big project, to face the issues that may come up. The good news is that you CAN get there, either by yourself or with help.
Contact me and I will be happy to help you work through it! I promise, it's not as hard as you think!
