From the Ridiculous to the Sublime

I went to organizer's heaven!

A friend of mine gutted her Manhattan apartment, measured and re-measured what she owned and needed to store, and thought of absolutely everything to manage absolutely everything!

All of these projects, and more... can be recreated for just about any budget.

Take a peek:

Let's say you own several different types and styles of necklaces or bracelets, earrings and other adornments, that are easily paired with your wardrobe.

Behold all of your long necklaces that take up so much room, get tangled in a drawer, and can go missing for months...

  • Shorter pieces on the top

  • Organize by color, stone type, or shape (do you have pieces that are 'chunky', 'fine', 'dainty', 'bold', etc?

  • Seasonal items? Make a board for Winter, Summer, etc...

  • Hang necklaces, and/or coordinating earrings and bracelets alongside each other.

Measure for measure: Save time searching for that one item you need at a particular moment...

  • This one is just representative of every drawer in every dresser. While this is a custom built dresser with custom inset dividers, if you're handy you can make your own dividers or go to any closet shop.

  • For example: By measuring out the length of her folded socks and rolled nylons, for example, everything is there at a glance, neat and orderly.

Handy dandy: A narrow wall in her galley kitchen made a perfect spot for a stainless steel peg board to hang the most used utensils.

  • There are lots of types of pegboards to be had for any room, and for any item

  • You can easily organize your

  • kitchen

  • laundry room

  • garage

  • and, more...
