Decluttering/Organizing Projects?
HOW many organizing projects did you say you got through during quarantine, you say! Oh, thanks! I needed a good laugh!
What a devastating time we have been living through. I can't imagine anyone really being in the mood to tackle organizing or de-cluttering with everyone home and making more of a mess.
I get it! And I, who really love to do all this type of work, haven't been able to help anyone, because I avoid the virus at all costs and can't go into people's homes. My clients' projects are left undone and we're all frustrated.
This blog entry really comes as an outreach to you all and a restatement of my offer to help at no cost via pictures or FT to get you started when the urge or opportunity comes over you.
This terrible pandemic has taught me a lot in terms of organizing my time and space. I don't know about you, but it's so easy to lose track of thoughts in these times, so I now:
Add to my shopping lists the moment I remember I need something.
Keep cooking supplies on hand by jotting down what's running low instead of waiting till I'm out of it. (Then I don't have to wait for a delivery or curb-side pick up date).
Check out the refrigerator to make sure there's no waste and I cook with what I do have. (Ooops, I didn't see 2 cucumbers in the back of the veggie bin and had to toss them. I hate waste).
I've learned that:
I don't need so many lipsticks. We'll be wearing masks for a while.
It's ok to wear the same thing 2, even 3 days in a row. Do we really care so much anymore?
Most importantly, this terrible pandemic has solidified the need to reach out, help and make sure that people know that I am there for them, that I want to help in any way possible, and I can't wait to be together.
